WELCOME
The holiday park sector is a vital part of New Zealand's tourism industry, contributing to almost 25% of the country's commercial guest nights. In the year ending January 2025, holiday parks hosted an impressive 9.5 million guest nights, with 7.2 million from domestic travellers and 2.3 million from international visitors.
Holiday Parks hold a special place in many families hearts, offering great value accommodation and a place to make memories. However, like many businesses, we face challenges, especially in times when people's wallets are squeezed. It's crucial for us to innovate and be customer-focused. That's why our annual gathering is so important - it allows us to celebrate our achievements, share knowledge, and ideate the future together.
The Holiday Parks New Zealand Conference & Expo has become a cornerstone event for our sector. Our event is also evolving and innovating - the 2025 event promises to be even more spectacular, as we celebrate an historic 70 years of Holiday Parks New Zealand in the Centre of New Zealand, Whakatū - Nelson from Monday 21 - Wednesday 23 July.
We love Nelson’s centrality and reputation for creativity and innovation and that it’s also a new place for us to connect and grow as an industry. Nelson's Māori name, Whakatū, means 'construct', 'raise', or 'establish'. What a great place for us to build on our rich heritage and look to the future.
We want to do something different to set the scene for the next 70 years and beyond for Holiday Parks and would love you to join us on this adventure.
